As you are aware, email has become the preferred method for corporate communication. However, email is not a private conversation; unencrypted email messages can be intercepted and read.
To ensure the confidentiality of private information sent via email and comply with privacy and regulations such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), we are implementing a new email encryption service through Zix Corporation, the leader in email encryption services.
For both our employees and our customers, Zix Corporation makes encrypted communication easy. ZixCorp’s services allow us to send encrypted email messages to anyone, whether they are a ZixCorp customer or not. Secure messaging is not just a Government mandate; it is a practical way to conduct business.
Here are the steps you’ll need to know for setting up Zix for the first time…
When your Bender contact needs to send you an encrypted message, you’ll receive a notification email with instructions on how to open the message. The notification message arrives in your email Inbox. Select Open Message in the notification to go to the Secure Message Center and view your email.
At this point, you must go through a one-time registration process.
After you register and sign in to the Secure Message Center, your message opens and you can view the message details and reply.
That’s it! We hope you find this short setup to be a simple process. Please feel free to contact our office should you have questions! 916-380-5300
